Terms of Service

Last updated October 11, 2026

These terms cover your use of Safeguards Tracker (“the service”), provided by Golden Rock, San Antonio, Texas (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the business you sign up.

What the service is, and isn't

Safeguards Tracker is software that helps you organize, document and keep current an information security program under the FTC Safeguards Rule (16 CFR Part 314). The guidance in it is general and written in plain language. It is not legal advice, and using the service does not by itself make your business compliant with any law. You remain responsible for your program and for decisions about your obligations. For advice about your situation, consult a qualified attorney.

Your data

You own the information you put in the service. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you. You can export it any time and delete it any time from Settings. Don't upload more customer personal information than you need: the service is built to hold your program records (policies, logs, certificates), not your clients' tax returns or account numbers. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.

Acceptable use

Don't use the service to break the law, upload malware, try to access other customers' data, probe or overload the service, or resell it without our written permission.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and your data safe, and we back it up every night, but we can't promise uninterrupted service. We may improve or change features. If we ever discontinue the service, we'll give at least 60 days' notice so you can export your data.

Disclaimers and limits

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for regulatory outcomes of your program.

Ending these terms

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with notice where reasonable.
